When there's nothing to say...

Talk about the weather, it's what I do.  It's the cliche conversation starter and to some a lame topic, but humor me if you will.  Everybody knows there's magic in snow, and the rain in its turn makes everything grow.  Calm skies is what I like, where I'm able to see a trees bare silhouette pressed against the moon as it hangs among the stars.  I envy that bitch.  I've been told my head is in the clouds, but I don't find that insulting, I dare to dream during the day and so be it.  I never actually check the weather, I like to be surprised upon awakening, what type of day is it gonna be?  I'll tell you, December and the last half of November, mother nature has been temperamental.  Up and down, wet and dry, snowy and icy....we've had it all so far.  This winter ought to be interesting, and I guess who you're talking about the weather with makes all the difference.

So, who wants to talk about the weather with?

  1. Lovely post! I will talk weather any day. It hasn't snowed here in over 10 years; although it may sound like a boring winter its quite nice. It makes me feel like a kid at Christmas EVERYTIME I go to see snow. How it hugs the tree limbs at times like lovers about to part. The frost is always fun, how it coats the grass. I use to love to walk across the frosted grass just to see how my footprints distroyed the icy top.

    1. How you doing, Sara? Good to see you. Have you made a snow Angel? Haha, it's not right until you've rolled around in the snow. I'm a big kid, I can't help myself. :)

    2. I haven't ever made a snow angel! I keep meaning to but never remember to try it. What is your favorite season? And have you tried or do you Sled (is that the right term??? Slide or tube??)

    3. My favorite season is definitely sprung, I just feel wicked rejuvenated, everything is coming back to life. Sledding? That's what I call it, and oh hell yes...took the kids sledding a few days ago. You don't know what you're missing if you've never done it. You enjoy surfing and whatnot, you'd have a damn blast!

  2. I do :) I enjoy weather banter. I think it's the perfect starter as you said. I'm not a snow person, though. I don't enjoy the winter at all. I'm a new reader and I like what you say and how you say it.

    1. Thanks for checking me out. The older I get the less I enjoy winter but when the snow comes it all changes temporarily, it is beautiful. Haha, the point is, anything can lead to good conversation, it's all in how we present it.

  4. We have had everything from high winds, sleet, ice, rain, snow... lots of fun... not...

We usually don't get snow until January but it looks like it might be a white one, we've already had the snow :)

  5. the weather can be a bitch sometimes... i find something oddly exciting about that though. in New England, it changes with the wind... one day we got a blizzard the next it's 50 and sunny. it keeps things interesting, keeps me on my toes.

    nice photo :)

  6. Captivating photo. If I look real close, I can almost see a heart in it.There's a photo in one of the freebie calendars I have at work. It's a snowy mountainscape with a sunset in the background. When I look at it, I feel the hush of the snow as it reflects the soft notes of the sunset.

  7. Here in India it is crazy. While the north is tasting winter, the south is dripping with sweat and the east is having a shower in the rain.
    IT IS CRAZY!

  8. I'm actually slightly obsessed with the weather. I've got bunches of cities saved on my weather app and check it daily. I like knowing what it's like in Seattle...Mexico...Paris.
